Korea International School (Japan) : ウィキペディア英語版
Korea International School (Japan)
is a Korean junior and senior high school in Ibaraki, Osaka Prefecture, Japan. It was established in 2008.
The government of Osaka Prefecture classifies the school as a "miscellaneous school".〔"(List of International Schools )" ((Archive )). Osaka Prefecture. Retrieved on August 17, 2015. Japanese version: "(外国人学校リスト )" ((Archive )).〕
==Curriculum==
The school's curriculum covers both North and South Korea, and this applies to its Korean history and language classes. Most of the school's classes are taught in Japanese. In 2014 the school's vice principal, Om Chang Joon, stated that many parents felt that North and South Korea-aligned schools should not be copying the curriculum found in Korea, and that is why KIS developed its own curriculum.〔Eto, Fukashi. "(Osaka school offers new approach to education for ethnic Koreans )" ((Archive )). ''Kyodo'' at ''Japan Times''. April 3, 2014. Retrieved on July 31, 2015.〕
The school has Japanese, Korean, and English language classes.〔Nakamura, Akemi. "(Flexible and diverse, international schools thrive )" ((Archive )). ''The Japan Times''. January 3, 2008. Retrieved on October 23, 2015.〕
